Recently, the designer of the Aito M9 series posted on social media, praising the interior design of the Li L9, describing it as "clean, logically structured, harmoniously proportioned, with a clear visual focal point and well-executed styling." He noted that when emerging automakers are led by strong-willed decision-makers, design details are often tightly controlled, which can disrupt the overall design coherence. However, by the time products reach their second or third generation—regardless of whether earlier models succeeded or not—companies typically grant greater autonomy to their design teams for deeper refinement. He added that he "has a growing sense that originality will become the mainstream in the market over the next few years," emphasizing that despite being competitors, he sincerely admires excellent design and takes pride in it. Additionally, in April, the same designer stated that if the SL model represented his "graduation project" from his Mercedes-Benz era, then the new Aito M9 Ultimate embodies four years of dedicated effort, achieving comprehensive integration from the inside out—spanning design definition, vehicle architecture, screen development, grille styling, and more—in pursuit of his ideal vision of perfection. It is reported that the new Li L9 Livis and L9 Ultra were launched on May 15. The Livis features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8797 Elite chip paired with two self-developed 5nm Mach 100 chips, while the Ultra uses a single Mach 100 chip combined with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8797 Max chip. Their respective prices are RMB 509,800 and RMB 459,800. The Aito M9 series began pre-sales on April 22, offering a Standard Edition and an Ultimate Ling Shi Extended Edition, with starting pre-sale prices of RMB 499,800 and RMB 669,800 respectively. To date, pre-orders have exceeded 50,000 units. The vehicles are equipped with Huawei’s Tuling Longxing platform and the Qiankun Smart Driving HUAWEI ADS 5 system.
