Spy shots of the new Volvo XC60 have been revealed. The model is scheduled to debut in the first half of 2027, primarily targeting compliance with the upcoming Euro 7 emissions regulations. Externally, the updates are subtle: the front grille features a new design, while the headlights and front bumper have been slightly revised. At the rear, changes are minimal, focusing mainly on refined taillight details and a redesigned rear bumper. Inside, the vehicle will be equipped with Volvo’s next-generation infotainment system and an upgraded touchscreen display. Powertrain options will carry over the current 48V mild-hybrid (MHEV) and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) configurations. In the PHEV variant, the gasoline engine’s output is reduced while the rear electric motor’s power is increased, enabling a WLTP-rated all-electric range exceeding 100 kilometers. Buyers will have a choice between single-motor rear-wheel drive and dual-motor all-wheel drive layouts, with the base version likely featuring a rear-mounted electric motor producing around 200 kW (approximately 272 horsepower). The new XC60 will also place strong emphasis on enhanced safety, advanced driver-assistance systems, and improved human-machine interaction. Built on an updated platform, the vehicle will feature faster software response times and greater system stability.
