Magna has recently secured a Driver and Occupant Monitoring System (DMS/OMS) program定点 from a European automaker. The system integrates sensing technology, illumination, electronic control hardware, and proprietary software algorithms into a single rearview mirror assembly. Featuring an in-mirror concealed camera architecture, it enables driver and occupant monitoring without adding complexity to the cabin interior or requiring additional visible hardware. The solution aligns with the driver’s natural line of sight, ensuring stable monitoring performance and precise recognition. Its hardware and software architecture is highly scalable, supporting multiple global vehicle platforms and meeting diverse regional regulatory requirements. The system also allows for feature enhancements via over-the-air software updates and includes provisions for future upgrades. Additionally, Magna provides system-level integration support compatible with centralized electronic/electrical (E/E) architectures and software-defined vehicle platforms.
