On May 20, 2024, FAW Hongqi officially launched the 2026 Hongqi H5 and the updated Hongqi HQ9. The 2026 Hongqi H5 is available in five variants, with introductory prices ranging from RMB 121,000 to RMB 151,000. The updated Hongqi HQ9 comes in three variants, priced between RMB 338,800 and RMB 538,800. The 2026 Hongqi H5 retains the brand’s signature “Waterfall from High Mountain” front fascia design. The dragon-whisker daytime running lights have been relocated to the edge of the hood, and the chrome trim on the贯穿式 (full-width) rear light bar has been removed. Inside, the cabin features the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155P chip, enabling seamless interaction among a 15.6-inch floating central touchscreen, a 10.25-inch floating digital instrument cluster, and an HUD display. It also integrates Doubao, Hongqi’s proprietary large AI model. For driver assistance, the vehicle adopts Hongqi’s Sinan Intelligent Driving full-vision solution, supporting highway NOA (Navigate on Autopilot), urban memory-based navigation, all-scenario automatic parking, and trace-reverse parking functions. The updated Hongqi HQ9 is powered by the Honghu Super Hybrid system, featuring a 40 kWh high-energy-density battery pack, a 60-liter fuel tank, and a dedicated 2.0T hybrid engine. It delivers a CLTC pure-electric range of 220 km and a combined range of up to 1,200 km. Its intelligent driving capabilities also rely on the Hongqi Sinan Intelligent Driving system, offering all-scenario smart parking assistance, highway navigation assistance, and memory-based navigation assistance for up to 10 frequently driven routes. The cabin is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295P chip and features dual 15.6-inch 2.5K high-resolution screens plus a 21.4-inch 3K ultra-high-definition ceiling-mounted screen. The latter supports stepless tilt adjustment up to 75 degrees and includes a four-stage anti-pinch safety mechanism. Additional amenities include a 9.3-liter in-car refrigerator and dual zero-gravity seats.
