Tesla Discontinues Model S/X as Fremont Factory Shifts to Humanoid Robot Production

On May 21, 2026, the final batch of Tesla Model S and Model X vehicles rolled off the production line at the Fremont factory, officially marking the end of production for both models. The existing production lines at the facility will be dismantled within four months and converted into dedicated production lines for humanoid robots, with a planned annual capacity of one million units. Meanwhile, Tesla is constructing a second-generation humanoid robot production line at its Texas Gigafactory, targeting an annual capacity in the tens of millions.
