On May 22, Brembo signed a joint venture agreement with Ningbo Huaxiang Electronic Co., Ltd. to collaborate on the localization and large-scale deployment of Brembo’s Sensify™ intelligent braking platform in the Chinese market. The platform features a fully dry-by-wire architecture, integrating next-generation hardware with an adaptable software layer, enabling flexible implementation of advanced braking functions across multiple vehicle platforms while ensuring scalability and consistency throughout the product lifecycle. This partnership aims to integrate Sensify™ into China’s software-defined vehicle architecture ecosystem. Brembo has recently commenced mass production of the platform for a global leading automaker and signed contracts with several new customers. Under the agreement, both parties will jointly accelerate the industrialization of this technology in China. Daniele Schillaci, CEO of the Brembo Group, stated that China is the world’s most innovation-driven automotive market, and this collaboration marks a significant step for Brembo to embed itself within China’s automotive industry ecosystem and localize its innovative solutions. Zhou Xiaofeng, Chairman of Ningbo Huaxiang, noted that advanced autonomous driving and intelligent chassis systems present new opportunities, and the two companies will leverage their respective strengths in braking technology, precision manufacturing, and customer resources to drive technological advancement in the intelligent chassis domain. The transaction remains subject to approval by relevant regulatory authorities.
