M-Hero Auto announced that the all-new M-Hero M817 will officially open for pre-orders on May 29 during the Greater Bay Area Auto Show. On the same day, the high-performance variant—the M-Hero M817 Ultimate, co-developed in-depth with Huawei Qiankun—will also make its debut. During the Beijing Auto Show in April, M-Hero revealed that its collaboration with Huawei Qiankun has been comprehensively upgraded across product development, sales channels, and ecosystem integration, with plans to launch four new models over the next two years. On May 19, Dongfeng M-Hero signed a comprehensive Strategic Cooperation Agreement 2.0 with Yinwang (Huawei’s intelligent automotive solutions brand). Xu Zhijun, Huawei’s Rotating Chairman, awarded the joint team the title of “Huawei Qiankun Full-Stack Native Co-Creation Gold Team.” According to the initial roadmap, M-Hero will introduce five new models, with the first one entering mass production this year. The M-Hero M817 Ultimate is positioned as a vehicle combining top-tier off-road performance with Huawei Qiankun’s intelligent technologies. It features the Panshi Chassis 2.0, which offers proactive road condition prediction, centimeter-level recognition, and millisecond-level response capabilities. Equipped with the Jiming Power 2.0 system, the vehicle claims to maintain power delivery even at speeds up to 140 km/h. It debuts Huawei Qiankun ADS 5 and introduces the world’s first NCA (Navigate on Autopilot) off-road version, along with an industry-leading 896-line LiDAR—the highest-resolution LiDAR currently in mass production. The current M-Hero M817, a full-size SUV launched in September 2023, comes standard with HarmonySpace 5 cockpit powered by Huawei’s HarmonyOS and Huawei Qiankun ADS 4 advanced driver-assistance system. It is the world’s first off-roader fully equipped with Huawei Qiankun’s full-stack intelligent technologies, with a manufacturer’s suggested retail price ranging from RMB 319,900 to RMB 369,900.
