The Dongfeng Yipai M8 made its global debut on May 23, positioned as a mid-to-large SUV featuring a "6-seat" layout. It will be available in both all-electric and extended-range variants and is scheduled to launch in the third quarter of this year. The vehicle offers five exterior color options: Smoky Violet, Distant Indigo, Moonlight Silver, Frost White, and Xuanxiu Black. With dimensions of 5,020 mm (length) × 1,975 mm (width) × 1,733 mm (height) and a wheelbase of 3,025 mm, the M8 features semi-flush door handles and optional 21-inch wheels. Inside, the M8 adopts a minimalist yet luxurious design, featuring extensive soft-touch materials, a 50-inch AR-HUD, dual panoramic displays, a velvet-finish panoramic sunroof, a full-air-exchange ventilation system, and dual-door bidirectional intelligent climate-controlled storage boxes. The second-row seats are configured as twin first-class cabins, offering 20-way power adjustment, heating, ventilation, and 10-point therapeutic massage functions. The third row includes a 220V power outlet, and the entire cabin provides 42 storage compartments. In terms of intelligent features, the M8 is equipped with Huawei’s “Qiankun Six-in-One” suite, comprising Qiankun ADS 5 Pro intelligent driving system, HarmonyOS Cockpit 5.2, Qiankun Vehicle Control, Qiankun Vehicle Cloud services, WhaleFin communication technology, and a HUAWEI SOUND premium audio system with 21 speakers. For powertrains, the all-electric version is built on an 800V high-voltage platform, delivering 230 kW of motor output and a CLTC-rated range of 600 km. The extended-range variant employs a 4C fast-charging architecture, with a range extender producing a maximum output of 95 kW and a drive motor delivering peak power of 215 kW, achieving a CLTC pure-electric range of 300 km.
