On May 22, Deepal Auto held a ceremony in Lisbon to announce its new global official partnership with the Portugal national football team and delivered the Deepal S05 model to the team. On the same day, Deepal Auto also launched the 1,000-kilometer European endurance test drive for the S05. The Deepal S05 ranked as China’s best-selling compact SUV in April 2024. Overseas, it has topped Spain’s compact all-electric SUV registration charts for two consecutive months and earned top honors in J.D. Power’s 2026 China New Energy Vehicle Initial Quality Study for compact BEVs, along with the prestigious German iF Design Award. Currently, Deepal’s global footprint spans five major regions and approximately 100 countries and territories. Its Thailand manufacturing plant is already operational, and the Deepal S07 has achieved dual five-star safety ratings in both Europe and Australia. The partnership with the Portugal national team marks a strategic step toward deepening Deepal’s presence in the European market and expanding its global influence.
