Dongfeng Yipai M8 to Debut at GBA Auto Show with Huawei Qiankun Tech and Advanced Smart Features

On May 23, the Dongfeng Yipai M8 made its global debut in Wuhan, featuring Huawei's Qiankun technology. The automaker announced that the vehicle will be showcased at the Greater Bay Area Auto Show on May 29, where more details about its intelligent features will be revealed. The Yipai M8 measures nearly 5 meters in length with a wheelbase exceeding 3 meters, achieving a wheelbase-to-length ratio of 60.3%. Key features include dual first-class cabin seats, dual panoramic displays, dual-door bidirectional smart climate-controlled storage boxes, and the segment’s largest 50-inch AR-HUD augmented reality navigation system. The M8 is offered in both all-electric and range-extended variants. The BEV version is built on an 800V high-voltage platform with a 4C ultra-fast charging architecture, delivering a peak motor output of 230 kW and a CLTC-rated range of 600 kilometers. The range-extended variant offers a CLTC pure-electric range of 300 kilometers and is equipped with a highly efficient range extender system. In terms of intelligence, the Yipai M8 comes standard with Huawei Qiankun’s “Full-Suite Intelligent Six-Pack,” comprising Qiankun ADS 5 Pro advanced driver assistance system, HarmonySpace 5.2 intelligent cockpit powered by HarmonyOS, Qiankun Cloud services, Qiankun Vehicle Control, Jingfin communication technology, and the HUAWEI SOUND 21-speaker audio system.
