BAIC Motor recently released official images of its all-new EU8 model, which is scheduled to officially launch on May 26. Positioned as a pure electric mid-size sedan targeting the B2B mobility market, the EU8 offers two CLTC range variants—501 km and 535 km—and supports both charging and battery-swapping refueling methods. In terms of design, the EU8 adopts a minimalist aesthetic, featuring split headlights at the front and L-shaped daytime running lights that enhance visual recognition. At the rear, an integrated decorative panel creates the visual effect of a贯穿-style taillight, though it does not use a conventional贯穿structure. The vehicle measures 4,850 mm in length, 1,900 mm in width, and has a wheelbase of 2,875 mm, providing 990 mm of rear legroom. The trunk offers 465 liters of cargo space, supplemented by an additional 145-liter hidden underfloor storage compartment. Inside, the cabin features an all-black color scheme, highlighted by a large floating center touchscreen and a fully digital instrument cluster. The driver’s seat supports six-way power adjustment, four-way lumbar support, and ventilation, with a backrest that reclines nearly flat at 180 degrees. Dual phone holders are provided, supporting 27W fast charging, and gear selection is handled via a stalk-mounted shifter (column shifter). Catering specifically to commercial operation needs, the vehicle includes dedicated interfaces for taximeters, smart terminals, and other specialized equipment, enabling plug-and-play functionality. Powering the EU8 is a CATL lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack, capable of charging from 30% to 80% in just 21 minutes.
