The Buick Zhi Jing L7 EV is scheduled to launch in the third quarter of this year. The entire lineup will come standard with an 800V high-voltage architecture and 6C fast-charging technology, offering an estimated CLTC range exceeding 700 kilometers. In terms of design, the EV version maintains consistency with the range-extended variant, featuring Buick’s signature design language and equipped with LiDAR. It is expected to be powered by the Xiaoyao Smart Driving advanced driver-assistance system, developed based on Momenta’s R6 Flywheel large model, supporting seamless urban NOA (Navigate on Autopilot) and automatic parking for all parking space types. The vehicle measures 5,032 mm in length, 1,952 mm in width, and 1,499 mm (or 1,507 mm) in height, with a wheelbase of 3,000 mm. The interior is anticipated to carry over the wrap-around layout from the range-extended version and may feature a 10.25-inch full LCD instrument cluster, a 15.6-inch center touchscreen, and a 50-inch panoramic AR-HUD head-up display system. Powering the new model is an electric motor delivering a maximum output of 282 kW, paired with lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries supplied by SVOLT (a joint venture between CATL and SAIC Motor). The exact battery capacity has not yet been disclosed.
