VOYAH Auto recently launched its new large five-seater SUV, the Taishan X8, priced between RMB 282,900 and RMB 379,900. This model marks VOYAH’s first all-new product since its IPO on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and is positioned as the largest five-seater SUV in the Chinese market, directly competing with the Range Rover. Shao Mingfeng, Chief Brand Officer of VOYAH Auto, stated that the Taishan X8 sets its benchmarks against million-yuan-class luxury SUVs in terms of all-terrain capability, intelligent features, and premium comfort, aiming to disrupt the traditionally inflated pricing structure of the luxury vehicle segment. VOYAH CEO Lu Fang emphasized that the company is committed to surpassing established luxury brands through technological innovation and superior user experience—not by imitating their designs. Despite rising raw material costs, VOYAH will rely on technological and management innovations to control expenses, maintain its current pricing strategy, and ensure strong value for customers. Additionally, VOYAH is advancing its global expansion plans, including establishing a joint venture with Stellantis Group in Europe and locally producing VOYAH vehicles in France to accelerate its overseas market penetration. Lu Fang noted that amid the global transition toward new energy vehicles, Chinese and foreign automakers have complementary resources, creating significant opportunities for Chinese brands to achieve greater breakthroughs in international markets.
