In its latest Q&A session with netizens, Xiaomi Auto stated that there are currently no plans to add the YU7 GT to the game *Gran Turismo 7* (GT7). Should any such plans materialize in the future, the company will announce them at the earliest opportunity. Previously, both the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra and the Xiaomi Vision GT concept car have already been added to the game. Customers who place an order for the YU7 Standard Edition before the end of the initial sales period (by 24:00 on June 30, 2026) will enjoy lifetime free access to Xiaomi HAD (Xiaomi Highway Automated Driving). All YU7 variants come equipped with identical advanced driver-assistance hardware, including a standard NVIDIA Thor chip delivering 700 TOPS of computing power, LiDAR, and a 4D millimeter-wave radar—providing robust hardware support for future OTA upgrades. The lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery used in the Xiaomi YU7 has passed a series of stringent safety tests conducted consecutively on the same battery pack. These tests included 1,000 full charge-discharge ultra-fast charging cycles, 36 hours of random vibration at twice the intensity required by China’s new national standards, mechanical shock at 3.57 times the new national standard impact force, 24-hour submersion in one meter of water, and high-pressure water jet cleaning at 80°C. After aging, the battery underwent two dual-cell nail penetration tests under conditions of high temperature, full state of charge, and without liquid cooling. Thermal runaway alarms were triggered during testing, but no thermal propagation, fire, or explosion occurred. The YU7 GT comes standard with carbon-ceramic brake discs, which Xiaomi claims offer a normal service life exceeding 500,000 kilometers and can withstand maximum operating temperatures of up to 1,300°C, demonstrating exceptional resistance to thermal fade. With Michelin Pilot Sport 5 tires fitted, the YU7 GT achieves a 100–0 km/h braking distance of 32.9 meters. It can perform ten consecutive 180–0 km/h braking maneuvers without performance degradation and two consecutive 300–0 km/h stops without fade. Xiaomi recommends inspecting the brake discs before and after track driving or following a high-temperature warning; if flaking or abnormal wear is observed, drivers should pull over to a safe location and contact a service center.
