On May 26, during an earnings conference call, Lu Weibing, President of Xiaomi Group, stated that the vehicles currently undergoing road tests are not the Xiaomi YU9. He confirmed that Xiaomi will launch a new vehicle model within this year, describing it as featuring multiple innovations and strong competitiveness. Lu also noted that Xiaomi has recently introduced two new models—the YU7 GT and the standard YU7—further expanding the YU7 series. More than half of users have opted for the top-end YU7 GT variant priced at RMB 429,900. According to financial report data, from January to April this year, the Xiaomi SU7 ranked first in sales among pure-electric sedans priced above RMB 200,000 in China, while the YU7 secured the second position in SUV sales nationwide.
