The Li Auto L9 Livis Edition began deliveries on May 17, offered in two trims: Ultra and Livis. Building upon the Ultra trim, the Livis version adds key hardware including a full-featured steer-by-wire chassis, dual Mach M100 chips, and four LiDAR units. The vehicle is equipped with the world’s first automotive-grade 5nm edge AI inference chip based on a dataflow architecture—the Mach M100—delivering 1,280 TOPS of computing power per chip. Combined with LiDAR and UWB omnidirectional perception technology, it enables advanced intelligent driving capabilities. The Livis Edition features a “full-featured” steer-by-wire chassis, bringing mass-produced applications of steer-by-wire, rear-wheel steering, and EMB (Electro-Mechanical Brake) systems. The EMB system uses electrical signals to actuate brake calipers, significantly reducing response time and improving braking efficiency compared to conventional braking systems. Additionally, the vehicle adopts an 800V fully active suspension system, eliminating traditional anti-roll bars to enable independent control of all four wheels, enhancing both handling and ride comfort.
