The NIO ES9 successfully navigated a continuous 15-cm-high undulating road section at a speed of 41 km/h on a professional test track. During the test, the vehicle’s suspension rapidly compressed and rebounded, maintaining a stable body posture with no noticeable pitching or bouncing. The car followed a straight trajectory without significant oscillation or jolting. This performance is attributed to its SkyRide intelligent chassis system, which features an integrated fully active suspension capable of adjusting torque 1,000 times per second, with a response frequency of up to 40 Hz, enabling real-time detection and active cancellation of road impacts. The NIO ES9 is now on sale, offered in three trim levels. Pricing starts at RMB 528,000 for outright purchase, or RMB 420,000 with the Battery as a Service (BaaS) battery leasing option. Powered by a 900V high-voltage architecture, the ES9 features a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system combining a 180 kW front motor and a 340 kW rear motor, delivering a combined peak output of 520 kW and a maximum torque of 700 N·m, enabling a 0–100 km/h acceleration time of 4.3 seconds. All variants are equipped with a 102 kWh ternary lithium battery pack, offering CLTC-rated ranges of 620 km, 600 km, and 580 km, respectively.
