On May 27, SAIC-GM-Wuling officially launched the pre-sale of its new model, the Wuling Xingguang L, with a starting pre-sale price of RMB 122,800. Customers who pay a RMB 1,000 deposit during the limited-time offer period can redeem it for RMB 3,000 off the final purchase price. Positioned as a long-range, six-seater SUV, the Xingguang L is available in five exterior colors: Pine Green, Lake Blue, Ink Bamboo Black, Stone Silver, and Frost White. It features the brand’s “Floating Aesthetics” design language, highlighted by a star-ring full-width LED light bar and T-shaped split headlights at the front. The vehicle retains conventional door handles and rides on 20-inch Michelin tires. At the rear, it sports a full-width taillight housing over 1,000 individual LEDs, complemented by a high-mounted spoiler and hidden exhaust outlets. Inside, the Xingguang L is equipped with an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster and a 15.6-inch central touchscreen. Ambient lighting with 256-color full-spectrum breathing effects is offered in three modes: fixed, random, and driving. The front passenger seat includes a “boss key,” allowing second-row passengers to adjust the front passenger seat with one touch, and also features a foldable tray table. Soft-touch materials are used throughout the cabin, and the ergonomically designed seats come in two interior color schemes: Cloud Glaze White and Sand Clay Brown. The vehicle measures 4,980 mm in length, 1,930 mm in width, and 1,760 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,950 mm. Powering the Xingguang L is a 1.5L plug-in hybrid system, offering two engine options: a 78 kW naturally aspirated 1.5L and a 105 kW turbocharged 1.5T, both paired with a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack. Under WLTC conditions, the pure electric range is 150 km and 185 km respectively, with corresponding fuel consumption in charge-depleting mode of 5.85 L/100 km and 5.9 L/100 km. Under CLTC conditions, the pure electric range reaches up to 260 km, and the combined full-tank/full-battery driving range extends to 1,260 km, with a minimum charge-depleting fuel consumption of 4.9 L/100 km. All variants come standard with 3C fast charging capability.
