On May 28, BYD held an intelligent strategy launch event in Shenzhen. Wang Chuanfu, President of BYD, announced that City Navigation Assist—a critical safety feature—should not be tied to vehicle pricing, and that all BYD models will offer the "God’s Eye B" LiDAR-based advanced driver-assistance system as an optional upgrade for RMB 12,000. Wang emphasized that whether offered as standard or optional equipment, the system features identical hardware and software specifications, delivering a consistent and full-featured user experience across the board. He also outlined BYD’s three key goals for the next phase of its intelligent driving strategy: achieving zero traffic accidents, and creating a “Super Driver” and a “Super Assistant.” Wang stated that with rapid advancements in perception hardware, AI algorithms, and data capabilities, these goals will become attainable in the near future. On the same day, BYD also unveiled a series of new intelligent technologies aimed at ensuring end-to-end controllability of its advanced driver-assistance systems.
