In an official Q&A with netizens published on May 28, Xiaomi Auto confirmed that the YU7 GT is equipped with the same "high-performance braking system" as the SU7 Ultra—a system thoroughly validated on the Nürburgring Nordschleife. The YU7 GT comes standard with Akebono fixed high-performance calipers featuring six pistons at the front and four pistons at the rear, paired with carbon-ceramic brake discs measuring 430mm × 40mm (front) and 410mm × 32mm (rear), capable of withstanding peak operating temperatures up to 1,300°C. Combined with Michelin Pilot Sport 5 performance tires, the YU7 GT achieves a minimum 100–0 km/h braking distance of just 32.9 meters. This braking system supports regenerative braking that retains up to 0.6g of deceleration even when ABS is activated, effectively reducing thermal load. It enables either ten consecutive emergency stops from 180 km/h to 0 or two back-to-back extreme stops from 300 km/h to 0 without any performance degradation. Additionally, the entire YU7 lineup features a high-strength white body with a torsional rigidity of 47,610 N·m/deg. Over 200 areas have been optimized for noise reduction, with more than 120 acoustic materials applied throughout the vehicle. All variants come standard with laminated acoustic glass for enhanced cabin quietness. The standard and long-range versions offer a ground clearance of 185 mm when unladen, while the Pro, Max, and GT all-wheel-drive variants are equipped as standard with dual-chamber closed-loop air springs, raising ground clearance to over 210 mm. The entire lineup also includes a 1,500 MPa anti-scrape underbody crossbeam and bullet-resistant coating to reinforce protection for the chassis and battery pack.
