Limited (CATL), stated that the mandatory national standard "Safety Requirements for Electric Vehicles" (GB 18384–2025) will officially take effect on July 1, 2025. Following its implementation, the spontaneous combustion rate of China's new energy vehicles is expected to be an order of magnitude lower than that of internal combustion engine vehicles.
