The new large, rugged SUV from M-Hero Tech, the M817, has officially opened for pre-orders at the 2026 Greater Bay Area Auto Show, with a pre-sale price range of RMB 370,000 to RMB 420,000. Co-developed by M-Hero Tech and Huawei, the vehicle features Huawei’s Qiankun ADS 5.0 advanced driver-assistance system, HarmonyOS Cockpit 6, and the Tianyuan architecture, along with an 896-line dual-path imaging-grade LiDAR. Exterior styling follows the “Heroic Soul Aesthetics 2.0” design language and is available in five body colors. The vehicle measures 5,100 mm long, 1,998 mm wide, and 1,899 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 3,005 mm. Inside, it features a dual-spoke multifunction steering wheel and a large floating central touchscreen. Powering the M817 is a plug-in hybrid system combining a 2.0T engine and electric motor. The engine delivers a maximum output of 224 horsepower. Two battery options are offered—51.9 kWh and 62.52 kWh—with WLTC-rated all-electric ranges of 170 km, 202 km, and 207 km respectively, and CLTC-rated ranges exceeding 300 km. Also unveiled at the show was the M817 Master Edition, which boasts an even more rugged appearance, featuring a large trapezoidal front grille, MHERO branding, split-step side steps, all-terrain (AT) tires, and an externally mounted spare tire. Pre-order benefits include: a RMB 2,000 deposit redeemable for RMB 7,000 off the final purchase price; the Ulan Orange paint option, originally priced at RMB 8,000, available for only RMB 2,000 during the pre-sale period; lifetime warranty on the triad electric systems (battery, motor, and electronic control); and five years of complimentary nationwide roadside assistance.
