Volkswagen Anhui Delivers 2,303 EVs in May, Up 119% MoM, Launches Three New Smart EV Models

In May 2026, Volkswagen Anhui delivered 2,303 new vehicles, a 119% increase compared to April. From January to May this year, its average monthly delivery volume grew by 55% month-over-month. The company currently offers three smart all-electric models: the Zhongzhong 06, Zhongzhong 07, and Zhongzhong 08. Among them, the Zhongzhong 07 has achieved an impressive test-drive-to-purchase conversion rate of 82%. On May 23, the updated Zhongzhong 06 launched with a limited-time promotional price ranging from RMB 134,900 to RMB 144,900. Positioned as a compact SUV, it features a passenger-side display screen, and certain trims are equipped with LiDAR and support urban NOA functionality, offering a CLTC-rated range of 528 km. On the same day, the Zhongzhong 07 also debuted, priced between RMB 109,900 and RMB 119,900 during the promotional period. As a midsize sedan, it likewise offers a LiDAR-equipped variant and delivers a CLTC range of 558 km. On May 29, Volkswagen Anhui initiated a limited-time cash discount of RMB 20,000 on the Zhongzhong 08, bringing its promotional price down to RMB 209,900–269,900. This model marks the first collaborative product between Volkswagen and XPeng. It is built on an 800V platform and features dual-chamber air suspension, DCC (Dynamic Chassis Control), an AI-powered "Magic Carpet" preview system, dual Turing AI chips, and an end-to-end VLA large model. It boasts a maximum CLTC range of 730 km.
