BAIC Blue Valley (SHA: 600733) released its production and sales data on June 1, showing that BAIC New Energy sold 21,871 vehicles in May, an increase of 27.75% year-over-year. From January to May, cumulative sales reached 68,613 units, up 24.39% year-over-year. Production during the same period totaled 20,982 units, surging 56.20% year-over-year—a growth rate significantly outpacing sales. By brand breakdown, Arcfox (ARCFOX) reported May sales of 17,943 units, up 32.82% year-over-year, primarily driven by models such as the Alpha S5 and Kaola gaining traction in the RMB 150,000–200,000 price segment. The Stelato brand sold 3,418 units in May, a 45.32% month-over-month increase, attributed to enhanced production capacity following a nearly RMB 2 billion technical upgrade at the Stelato Super Factory. Additionally, cumulative deliveries of the Stelato S9 and S9T have exceeded 60,000 units. Since October 2023, the models have ranked first in sales among new energy sedans priced above RMB 300,000 for seven consecutive months, with an average transaction price stabilizing around RMB 350,000—approaching the level of premium luxury brands in the broader luxury sedan market that includes both electric and internal combustion engine vehicles.
