At the NVIDIA GTC Taipei event held during COMPUTEX Taipei 2026, Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer VinFast, Israeli autonomous driving software company Autobrains, and U.S. chipmaker NVIDIA announced a strategic collaboration to jointly develop an L4 autonomous Robotaxi platform tailored for the Southeast Asian market. The platform is built on NVIDIA’s DRIVE Hyperion 10 computing architecture and integrates Autobrains’ “Agentic AI” software technology. This partnership aims to address the challenges posed by Southeast Asia’s high-density traffic, diverse driving behaviors, and complex urban environments for autonomous driving systems. The three parties plan to adopt a modular, open architecture that integrates vehicle integration, high-performance computing platforms, and next-generation AI software to reduce system complexity, lower computational costs, and enhance operational stability in uncontrolled environments. Autobrains’ “Agentic AI” technology employs multiple specialized AI agents that activate only when performing specific driving tasks—differing from traditional end-to-end AI models. This approach enhances the system’s ability to handle real-world traffic scenarios while reducing computational resource consumption, offering a more cost-effective pathway toward large-scale commercialization of autonomous driving. VinFast stated that leveraging the mature hardware and software foundation of the NVIDIA DRIVE Hyperion 10 architecture will significantly shorten the integration cycle for autonomous driving systems. Autobrains described the platform as the world’s first L4 Robotaxi system powered by Agentic AI, specifically designed to manage real-world traffic conditions and support mass production deployment. NVIDIA emphasized that this project will accelerate the development of safe, reliable autonomous vehicles capable of operating effectively in complex, real-world traffic environments.
