GAC Group May Sales Rise 8.18% YoY, NEV Sales Surge 71.64%

In May 2026, GAC Group produced 122,675 vehicles, a year-over-year decrease of 4.59%. From January to May, its cumulative production reached 651,372 units, up 0.46% year-over-year. Sales in May totaled 127,330 vehicles, an increase of 8.18% compared to the same period last year. Cumulative sales from January to May amounted to 628,219 units, rising 3.80% year-over-year. Notably, new energy vehicle (NEV) sales in May reached 46,056 units, surging 71.64% year-over-year. By brand, GAC Honda saw a year-over-year decline in May sales, while GAC Toyota and GAC Trumpchi reported sales roughly flat compared to the same month last year. GAC Aion’s May sales jumped 74.76% year-over-year.
