Toyota China Sales Drop 24.5% YoY in April 2026 as ICE Vehicle Sales Plummet

In April 2026, Toyota sold 94,081 vehicles in the Chinese market, a year-over-year decline of 24.5%. Of this total, FAW Toyota accounted for 38,694 units. By model, the Corolla sold 3,670 units that month, while the RAV4 sold 11,452 units. Meanwhile, the penetration rate of new energy vehicles (NEVs) in China had already exceeded 60% during the same period, and Toyota's all-electric bZ3 model continued to underperform in sales.
