Changan Auto's Tianshu Large Model Approved for Generative AI Services, First in Chongqing

On June 4, Changan Automobile announced that its fully in-house developed "Tianshu Large Model" has passed the Cyberspace Administration of China's (CAC) filing review for generative artificial intelligence services, becoming the first automotive company in Chongqing to achieve this certification. The model is an independently trained and operated generative AI service qualified to provide services to the public. Built on multimodal data—including speech, language, and vision—the Tianshu Large Model possesses capabilities in perception, comprehension, reasoning, and content generation, serving as a foundational model to support Changan’s Tianshu intelligent product development system. Previously, in September 2023, Changan unveiled its end-to-end interactive navigation-assist system, "Tianshu Intelligent Driving Assist," and received China’s first official license plate specifically designated for Level 3 (L3) autonomous driving.
