The extended-wheelbase version of the Harmony Intelligent Mobility (HIMA) Zhijie R7 coupe SUV has recently been revealed by multiple bloggers. The new model is expected to be named the Zhijie R7 L and positioned as a mid-to-large luxury family-oriented coupe SUV. Exterior-wise, the extended version largely retains the design of the current R7, featuring signature headlights, an active grille, and a roof-mounted flattened lidar unit (expected to be Huawei’s Qiankun 896-line dual-optical-path imaging-grade lidar). The rear end continues with a small spoiler and full-width taillights. The primary change lies in the increased body length, aimed specifically at enhancing rear passenger space. Inside, the cabin carries over the existing R7’s design, likely maintaining a five-seat layout. It features a driver-focused instrument display, a floating central touchscreen, a three-spoke steering wheel, and a stalkless gear selector. Retained amenities include front wireless charging pads, a center console storage bin, an onboard refrigerator, and an open storage area beneath the center console. Powertrain options are expected to remain unchanged, offering both range-extended and all-electric variants. Earlier this year, at Huawei’s Spring All-Scenario New Product Launch Event in March, the Zhijie R7 and S7 received updates, introducing new “Midnight Purple” and “Vibrant Orange” color options, along with the new 896-line dual-optical-path imaging-grade lidar and Harmony ALPS Health Cabin. Their starting prices were set at RMB 259,800 and RMB 239,800, respectively. At the HIMA Zhijie V9 launch event in May, it was announced that cumulative deliveries of the Zhijie R7 and S7 had surpassed 160,000 units.
