Audi has unveiled its first high-performance hybrid supercar, the Nuvolari, with deliveries scheduled to begin in the first half of 2027. Limited to just 499 units globally, the car features a mid-engine layout and is finished primarily in titanium gold. Extensive use of carbon fiber ensures both lightweight construction and exceptional structural rigidity. The Nuvolari is equipped with forged center-lock wheels and a comprehensive active aerodynamics package, including an adaptive rear wing and air intake system that generates over 400 kg of downforce at high speeds. Power comes from a combination of a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine and three axial-flux electric motors, delivering a combined peak output of 1,001 horsepower. The internal combustion engine alone produces 730 Nm of torque and revs up to 10,000 rpm. Acceleration from 0–100 km/h takes just 2.6 seconds, while 0–200 km/h is achieved in 6.8 seconds, with a top speed exceeding 350 km/h. The vehicle features Audi’s next-generation predictive quattro all-wheel-drive system, offering multiple driving modes and fine-tuned traction control in track mode. Braking is handled by Audi’s Carbon Ceramic Pro high-performance braking system, which integrates electric regenerative deceleration with hydraulic braking. This setup improves heat dissipation by 21% and maintains strong resistance to brake fade under extreme conditions. Inside, the cabin adopts a minimalist, race-inspired design, divided into contrasting light and dark zones. Lightweight carbon-fiber sport seats are standard, while anodized aluminum accents adorn the center console. Physical buttons remain alongside digital interfaces for intuitive, clear operation. The car’s energy management system draws on Formula 1 technology, enabling seamless coordination between energy recovery, instant boost delivery, and torque vectoring. Launch Control can tap into stored battery energy for maximum acceleration, while coasting and braking phases efficiently regenerate electrical power.
