On June 8, Changan Automobile's fully in-house developed Tianshu large model received approval from the Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC) for its filing as a generative artificial intelligence service. This multimodal large model, specifically tailored for in-vehicle scenarios, has completed internal testing and officially obtained the legal and regulatory credentials required for public commercial deployment. Changan Automobile has thus become the first automaker in Chongqing and one of only a few domestic car manufacturers to secure this national-level certification. The filing marks a pivotal transition for domestically developed in-vehicle AI technologies—from the research and development phase to large-scale commercial implementation—removing policy barriers to the widespread adoption of intelligent vehicle interaction and autonomous driving services.
