Peng Lei, Product Director of Huawei's Smart Selection Vehicles, stated that the Luxeed SUV completed its official announcement filing last week and is set to launch soon. The vehicle features a bold, boxy exterior design with newly styled headlights, departing from Huawei’s existing family design language. Its roof has a slight bulge, suggesting it may be equipped with Huawei’s Qiankun 896-line dual-path imaging-grade LiDAR. The new model is expected to come with the next-generation HarmonyOS cockpit exclusive to Huawei’s Smart Mobility ecosystem and Huawei’s Qiankun ADS 5 intelligent driving system. Previously, during Huawei’s Smart Mobility annual livestream in December 2023, Yu Chengdong revealed that the Luxeed model features innovations in both exterior and interior design, with host Sa Beining describing its appearance as “strikingly cool.” BAIC Group later confirmed the vehicle is a rugged “box-shaped” SUV and announced plans to unveil additional original models—including SUVs and MPVs—within the year.
