BYD Tang EV Launches June 17 with Pre-sale Price of RMB 250,000–320,000

The BYD Tang EV is officially set to launch on June 17. Pre-sales began earlier at the 2026 Beijing Auto Show, with a pre-sale price range of RMB 250,000 to 320,000. As the first D-segment flagship SUV under BYD’s Dynasty series, the Tang EV measures 5,263 mm in length, 1,999 mm in width, and 1,790 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,130 mm. It features BYD’s latest family design language and is equipped with an extra-long full-width daytime running light at the front. Inside, the Tang EV offers a 2+2+3 seven-seat configuration. The front row features dual zero-gravity seats, while the third row consists of individual seats with armrests. The cabin includes a floating central touchscreen, a passenger-side entertainment screen, and a 17.3-inch ceiling-mounted screen for second-row passengers. The roof incorporates a hollow interlayer structure and is fitted with a “Sky Mirror” panoramic glass roof. The vehicle is powered by a 3nm-process chip, and its audio system is a 7.1.4-channel Devialet setup with 27 speakers. Powertrain options include both single-motor and dual-motor all-wheel-drive variants, with the AWD version accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds. The Tang EV is equipped with BYD’s second-generation Blade Battery, delivering a maximum CLTC-rated pure electric range of up to 950 km. It supports a full-domain 1,000V high-voltage architecture and BYD’s FlashCharge technology. Combined with a 10C ultra-fast charging battery and a 1,000A charging current, the vehicle is expected to achieve a peak charging power of up to 1,000 kW.
