FAW-Volkswagen Magotan PHEV Launches with Pre-sales from ¥174,900, Offering Over 140 km Pure Electric Range

On June 9, FAW-Volkswagen officially launched the pre-sale of the Magotan PHEV, with a pre-sale price range of RMB 174,900 to RMB 199,900. The new model is equipped with a 2.0-liter plug-in hybrid powertrain featuring VTG (Variable Turbine Geometry) turbocharging technology and the TQ251 hybrid transmission, delivering a transmission efficiency exceeding 97%. It offers an all-electric driving range of over 140 km and a combined range of up to 1,510 km, and supports 50 kW DC fast charging. Purchasers will enjoy seven limited-time benefits, including a RMB 1,000 deposit redeemable for RMB 3,000 off the purchase price, a complimentary home charging station, and a high residual-value buyback service. Externally, the Magotan PHEV retains the design of its gasoline counterpart but adds blue accents and PHEV badging for distinction. It measures 4,990 mm in length, 1,854 mm in width, and 1,491 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,872 mm—offering identical interior space to the conventional fuel-powered version. In terms of intelligent driving, the vehicle features the Xingyun Intelligent Driving Assistance System, supporting multi-level memory parking, highway NOA navigation-assisted driving, and 100-meter trail-back reversing functionality.
