On June 9, Xiaomi Auto released a range test video for the Xiaomi YU7 GT. The test route ran from Shanghai to Qiandaohu (Thousand Island Lake), covering a total distance of 503.7 kilometers and encompassing various typical driving scenarios, including highway cruising, suburban traffic congestion, and low-speed driving around the lake. On highway sections, the vehicle reached a top speed of 120 km/h with an average speed of 95 km/h, and no deliberate energy-saving driving techniques were used throughout the journey. At the end of the test, the vehicle still had 23% battery remaining. The Xiaomi YU7 GT officially launched on May 21, starting at RMB 389,900, and is available in five exterior colors. It features dual motors—one on the front axle and one on the rear—delivering maximum outputs of 288 kW and 450 kW respectively, for a combined system output exceeding 1,003 horsepower. The vehicle boasts a CLTC-rated range of 705 km, accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.92 seconds, and has a top speed of 300 km/h. It debuts globally with Xiaomi’s V8s EVO ultra-high-performance motor, which achieves a maximum rotational speed of 28,000 rpm and is paired with Xiaomi’s self-developed silicon carbide power module, boosting overall power efficiency by 5.9%. The motor employs ultra-thin stator and rotor laminations made of silicon steel just 0.15 mm thick, achieving a peak efficiency of 98.38%.
