Volvo has begun rolling out the OTA 1.3 software update for the XC70 model, with phased deliveries to users starting from June 17, 2026. This update expands the availability of the NPA (Navigate Pilot Assist) intelligent navigation assistance feature nationwide and introduces a new "Lead Vehicle Departure Alert" function. This alert operates when NPA is not active: the system monitors the driver’s gaze direction within two seconds before the vehicle ahead starts moving. If the driver is not looking forward, the system issues an alert to help reduce delayed reactions caused by distraction. The NPA intelligent navigation assistance system is designed for highways and expressways, supporting speeds from 0 to 150 km/h. It features capabilities such as avoiding large vehicles, overtaking slower cars, navigating on/off ramps, and automatically adjusting speed on curves.
