In the 408th batch of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology’s (MIIT) “Announcement on Road Motor Vehicle Manufacturers and Products,” two new sedans from Harmony Intelligent Mobility—Luxeed S9 and Luxeed S9T—have been re-submitted for approval. The new models retain an exterior design largely consistent with the current versions, but the rear badge has changed from “BAIC New Energy” to “BAIC Group.” Additionally, according to the filing information, “Luxeed” has now become an independent product trademark, and the brand name in the manufacturer’s official designation has officially shifted from “Hua Zhang” to “Luxeed.” Previously, Huawei and BAIC deepened their collaboration, upgrading the Luxeed brand into a strategic alliance integrating “automaker + Huawei’s full technology ecosystem.” Under this partnership, both parties plan to invest RMB 20 billion over three years, focusing on four key areas: design, intelligent driving assistance, smart cockpit, and quality and safety. They have also established a dedicated Luxeed business unit team, built exclusive manufacturing and supply chain systems along with a dual quality inspection framework, and developed a specialized sales and service channel covering the entire vehicle lifecycle—from purchase and usage to maintenance.
