In the latest vehicle registration catalog released by China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), the all-new Zhiji RX made its debut and was subsequently officially announced. Positioned as a mid-to-large SUV, the Zhiji RX measures 5,020 mm in length, 2,007 mm in width, and 1,600/1,585 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,000 mm. It adopts a sporty FUV (Family Utility Vehicle) design approach, positioning it as a direct competitor to the Xiaomi YU7. The Zhiji RX features an entirely new design language. Its front fascia is fully enclosed and equipped with a full-width light bar, while the left and right headlights are independently arranged. Inside each headlight housing are integrated high- and low-beam light sources, along with a small blue "smart driving indicator" light positioned at the "eye corner," capable of producing a "winking" effect. Departing from the One-Box design philosophy, the body emphasizes dynamic proportions, featuring an elongated, sloping hood, pronounced wheel arches, and muscular character lines. The vehicle offers two intelligent driving perception configurations: an external LiDAR setup or an in-cabin LiDAR-vision fusion system. Functional air ducts are integrated into the fenders, and the doors feature semi-recessed handles. A camera mounted on the outer side of the B-pillar supports advanced driver-assistance perception, and an NFC-enabled area allows for smartphone-based vehicle unlocking. At the rear, the Zhiji RX continues the Harmony Intelligent Mobility family design language, featuring a full-width taillight with a starry-point illumination effect. It also includes a roof-mounted spoiler and a rear-facing solid-state LiDAR unit. Wheel options range from 20 to 21 inches in multiple designs, and the brake caliper covers come in various color choices. Powering the Zhiji RX is Huawei’s next-generation high-performance electric drive system, offered in both rear-wheel-drive (RWD) and all-wheel-drive (AWD) variants. The RWD version features a 277 kW motor, while the AWD variant adds an additional 160 kW front motor. The vehicle is paired with Huawei’s "Giant Whale" battery pack, available in both lithium iron phosphate (LFP) and ternary lithium chemistries.
