According to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's (MIIT) 408th batch of the "Announcement on Road Motor Vehicle Manufacturers and Products," the all-electric version of the IM LS8 SUV has completed its official filing. The vehicle measures 5,085 mm in length, 2,000 mm in width, and 1,807 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,060 mm, a curb weight of 2,460 kg, and a gross vehicle weight of 2,960 kg. It will be offered in two battery variants—lithium iron phosphate (LFP) and ternary lithium-ion—with a drive motor rated at 178 kW and a peak output of 300 kW. The range-extended version of the IM LS8 was launched in April 2024, positioned as a mid-to-large-size SUV. Pricing starts at RMB 249,800 for the five-seat variant and RMB 269,800 for the six-seat version. Exterior color options include Pamir Grey, Olympus Black, K2 Silver, Alps White, and Bradley Green. The vehicle features flush door handles and multi-spoke wheels ranging from 20 to 22 inches. Inside, the cabin is equipped with a 27.1-inch 5K driver display and a 15.6-inch 3K passenger entertainment screen. It runs the IM AIOS intelligent cockpit system, integrating Alibaba’s Qwen large language model with the AIOS platform and supporting the IM Ultra Agent—a smart agent capable of semantic understanding and task execution. Standard advanced driver-assistance hardware includes a 520-line ultra-wide-field LiDAR and NVIDIA’s Thor chip. Powertrain-wise, the range-extended model features a 1.5T "Stellar" super range-extender system, with the range extender delivering a maximum output of 114 kW. The single-motor rear-wheel-drive variant offers a combined maximum power of 230 kW and peak torque of 430 N·m, while the dual-motor all-wheel-drive version delivers a combined maximum power of 390 kW and peak torque of 670 N·m.
