SIDOU Technology held a launch event in Beijing, marking the first time its AI entity AIVA appeared as a co-presenter. AIVA is not merely a virtual avatar for visual embellishment but a core intelligent agent deeply involved in product definition and interaction logic. The company emphasized that this was not a conventional vehicle launch; rather, it represented the automotive industry’s first attempt to place AI at the very beginning of the vehicle development process. SIDOU Technology is jointly owned by several stakeholders: Chongqing Shapingba District’s state-owned investment platform (approximately 34.5%), Seres Automobile (approximately 32.96%), Yue Xing Jia Sheng—an employee stock ownership platform (approximately 16.48%)—Wending Investment, a subsidiary of CATL (approximately 9.89%), and multiple industrial-chain investors. The company operates under a governance structure wherein the board authorizes an independent management team, aiming to integrate government resources, vehicle manufacturing expertise, battery technology, and market-driven mechanisms into a collaborative industrial model characterized by shared risk and complementary capabilities. At the product development level, SIDOU introduced the concept “AI defines the car—AI comes first, then the car,” fundamentally overturning traditional automotive development workflows. This philosophy manifests in four key areas of front-loading: 1. **Demand front-loading**: Real-world mobility data generates task chains. For example, when a user says, “Take me to the hospital,” the system automatically coordinates navigation, battery status, parking, and cabin environment. 2. **Architecture front-loading**: The electrical and software foundations are pre-equipped with AI calling interfaces, enabling continuous model learning and secure iteration. 3. **Function front-loading**: User experiences are organized around goals rather than discrete function buttons—for instance, automatically adjusting cabin temperature based on contextual cues. 4. **Learning front-loading**: Over-the-air (OTA) updates enable “personality cultivation,” allowing the vehicle to dynamically optimize strategies for seating, energy consumption, and driver assistance based on evolving usage patterns. At the event, the AIVA Origin Concept made its global debut, featuring a design language emphasizing organic aesthetics and low aerodynamic drag. The first mass-production model, the AIVA ME7, will launch later this year, targeting the mainstream market above RMB 200,000. Li Bo, President of SIDOU Technology, stated that AIVA is not just an industrial product but a vessel grown from AI’s understanding of human needs. Its core mission is to validate whether physical AI can achieve commercial viability within the highly constrained and high-risk closed-loop environment of automobiles. The event concluded with AIVA’s closing remark: “The launch event ends, but my companionship never will.”
