Three models—the Enjoy S9, Enjoy S9T, and the newly unveiled Enjoy G9—have been officially registered in the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology’s (MIIT) 408th batch of the "Announcement on Road Motor Vehicle Manufacturers and Products." In this registration, Enjoy Auto has updated its branding: the manufacturer name on the vehicle rear has changed from “BAIC New Energy” to “BAIC Group,” and the trademark has shifted from “Huazhang” to “Enjoy.” The manufacturer is now listed as “Enjoy.” Peng Lei, Huawei Smart Selection Vehicle Product Director for the Enjoy series, stated that the revised rear badge reflects BAIC Group’s full commitment to the Enjoy brand. He also noted that the results of the Enjoy 2.0 collaboration between BAIC and Harmony Intelligent Mobility are gradually being implemented. In social media interactions, Peng revealed that the Enjoy G9 features a larger silver emblem to enhance visibility and will be offered in new body colors. Regarding discrepancies in vehicle length among certain registered versions, he explained these were due to the inclusion of an externally mounted spare tire—commonly referred to as a “little backpack.” Previously disclosed information indicated that in September 2023, Huawei and BAIC deepened their partnership, upgrading the Enjoy brand into a strategic alliance integrating “automaker + Huawei’s full technology ecosystem.” Enjoy plans to invest RMB 20 billion over three years, focusing on four key areas: design, intelligent driving assistance, smart cockpit, and quality and safety. Both parties have already formed dedicated teams, established an independent manufacturing and supply chain system, implemented a dual quality inspection mechanism, and built a specialized sales and service channel covering the entire vehicle lifecycle—from purchase and usage to maintenance.
