BYD Seal 08 Pre-Order Pricing Leaked: Starting at ¥250,000 with Premium Features Standard Across All Trims

Recently, an internal dealer prepayment list for the Seagull 08—a large flagship sedan under BYD’s Ocean Network—has been leaked. According to the document, the prepayment amount for the 785 km AWD Flagship variant is RMB 250,000, approximately RMB 100,000 lower than the previously announced official price range of RMB 300,000–350,000. The Seagull 08 inherits the design language of the Ocean S concept car and features BYD’s Ocean Aesthetics 2.0 styling. It measures 5,150 mm in length, 1,999 mm in width, and 1,505 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,030 mm. The vehicle is equipped with a rear-wheel steering system to enhance maneuverability. Inside, the cabin is wrapped in soft leather and accented with luminous mother-of-pearl trim panels. Standard across all trims are laminated acoustic glass and Michelin noise-reducing tires, emphasizing superior sound insulation and quietness. The rear seats feature electric leg rests and fold-out tray tables, while the front seats are dual zero-gravity seats, offering interior space comparable to that of million-yuan luxury sedans. In terms of driving dynamics, the Seagull 08 is equipped with a rear-wheel steering system, BYD’s Yunniu-A intelligent air suspension system, a closed dual-chamber air suspension setup, and road preview functionality, enabling a turning radius within the 5-meter range. Powertrain options include both plug-in hybrid (PHEV) and battery-electric (BEV) variants. The PHEV AWD version delivers a combined output of 400 kW and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds, while the BEV AWD model offers a total output of 510 kW and achieves 0–100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds. The vehicle is expected to officially launch in late June or early July.
