On June 11, 2026, GAC Trumpchi officially launched the M8 PHEV L, offering three variants priced between RMB 269,800 and RMB 309,800. All models come standard with Momenta’s advanced driver-assistance system and are equipped with a 44.57 kWh ternary lithium battery supplied by CATL. Exterior-wise, the vehicle adopts GAC Trumpchi’s “Yipin Qilin” family design language, featuring a large front grille adorned with diamond-shaped chrome accents that seamlessly integrate with the “7”-shaped matrix LED headlights. The side profile showcases straight character lines, electric sliding doors, and concealed tracks. At the rear, full-width LED taillights extend downward at both ends, complemented by a chrome trim strip along the lower bumper. Inside, the cabin features an enveloping layout with a dual-tone color scheme—dark upper and light lower sections—accentuated by chrome detailing. Standard across all trims are a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster and a 17.3-inch floating central touchscreen, both powered by the ADiGO 6.0 intelligent cockpit system. The system is built on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295P chip and supports four-zone voice control as well as the ADiGO SENSE cloud-integrated large AI model. Under the hood, the M8 PHEV L is powered by a 1.5T plug-in hybrid powertrain. The engine delivers a maximum output of 125 kW and peak torque of 245 N·m. The front-wheel-drive variant features an electric motor with combined output of 205 kW and 360 N·m of torque, while the all-wheel-drive version boasts a combined motor output of 285 kW and 525 N·m of torque. Under CLTC conditions, the FWD model offers a pure-electric range of 248 km, and the AWD version achieves 235 km.
