GAC Trumpchi E8 PHEV Launches with Prices from RMB 189,800 to 219,800

On June 11, 2026, GAC Trumpchi officially launched the E8 PHEV, introducing four variants priced between RMB 189,800 and RMB 219,800. Positioned as a mid-to-large-size plug-in hybrid MPV for family use, the vehicle features an all-new design language. Exterior-wise, the E8 PHEV is equipped with a full-width front light bar and a trapezoidal air intake adorned with chrome accents. All trims come standard with dual-side power-sliding doors and mechanical door handles. The rear end boasts a rounded profile, highlighted by an illuminated central logo for enhanced recognition, along with a small roof-mounted spoiler. The vehicle measures 5,000 mm in length, 1,900 mm in width, and 1,778 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,000 mm. Inside, the cabin adopts GAC’s latest family-oriented design, minimizing physical buttons. Standard equipment includes a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 15.6-inch central touchscreen powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chip, supporting Apple CarPlay, Huawei HiCar, and Sentry Mode. The Ultra trim adds a 17.3-inch rear entertainment screen. Both the front seats and second-row zero-gravity seats offer heating, ventilation, and massage functions. Additionally, the Ultra variant features a compressor-based smart refrigerator with a temperature range from -6°C to 50°C, along with foldable tray tables and a three-zone climate control system. Under the hood, the E8 PHEV is powered by a plug-in hybrid system combining a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine and a single electric motor. The engine delivers a maximum output of 125 kW and peak torque of 245 N·m, while the motor contributes 200 kW of power and 280 N·m of torque. The vehicle is equipped with SDC electromagnetic suspension and offers a CLTC-rated pure-electric driving range of 281 km.
