The Huawei "Giant Whale" battery equipped in the Aito M6 features multiple safety and lifespan optimization designs. The battery includes a data recorder similar to an aircraft's black box, enabling round-the-clock monitoring of its operational status and continuous transmission of information for up to 24 hours under extreme conditions. Additionally, it works in tandem with a cloud-based AI system to provide 24/7 condition monitoring and proactively identify potential risks. In terms of battery longevity, the Giant Whale battery supports OTA (over-the-air) software updates to extend its service life. Its hardware incorporates a multi-layer protective structure, with high-temperature-resistant insulating material filled between individual cells to ensure that anomalies in one cell do not affect others. The cells are arranged upright with their vent ports facing downward, reducing risks associated with impacts to the battery’s underside. The battery pack’s resistance to bottom impacts has been doubled and includes an active detection function for underbody collisions. It achieves an IPX9K waterproof rating, maintaining sealing integrity even in heavy rain or high-pressure car wash conditions, with over 400 sealing points across the entire pack.
