On June 12, Volkswagen unveiled official images of its new T7 series, comprising three variants: the Multivan, Caravelle, and California camper version. Externally, the vehicle features a wider full-width LED light bar connecting the headlights on both sides, and the Volkswagen logo now incorporates illuminated functionality. The overall design language aligns more closely with that of the ID-series electric vehicles. Inside, the dashboard has been completely redesigned with upgraded materials and added decorative stitching. The instrument cluster is a 10.25-inch fully digital display, while the center console now houses a floating 12.9-inch touchscreen—replacing the previous 10-inch unit. Seating retains its hallmark flexibility, with the second-row seats capable of rotating 180 degrees and accommodating up to seven passengers in total. The California camper variant comes equipped with exclusive features, including a factory-integrated roof tent, foldable camping table, built-in refrigerator, and an outdoor shower system. In terms of powertrains, the new T7 is expected to continue offering the 2.0 TDI turbocharged diesel engine and the 2.0T EA888 gasoline engine. Additionally, a new plug-in hybrid version debuts, combining a 1.5T engine with an electric motor to deliver a combined output of 180 kW (245 hp). It features a 19.7 kWh battery pack, enabling an all-electric WLTP range of up to 80 kilometers and supporting fast charging. The combined fuel consumption is as low as 1.2 L/100 km.
