On June 11, Xiaomi Auto released a demonstration video of its home charging robotic arm, showcasing its capabilities of automatic plug-in charging and automatic plug removal and storage—enabling a fully hands-free charging process. The following day, in an official Q&A session, Xiaomi Auto confirmed that the product is expected to launch in the fourth quarter of 2026. Designed for home users, the charging robotic arm is part of Xiaomi’s “Human–Vehicle–Home” ecosystem, aiming to deliver an end-to-end intelligent experience—from parking assistance to automatic charging. According to the company, the demonstration video was filmed in a real-world setting, and all showcased features are ready for mass production and delivery. Use cases include: automatic charging initiation once the vehicle parks in position, requiring no user intervention; automatic plug removal once the battery is fully charged or reaches a preset limit; and support for remote charging initiation—as long as the vehicle is parked within the robotic arm’s operational range, users don’t need to be physically present to operate it.
