Volkswagen has officially unveiled the official images of its new T7 series, including three variants: the Multivan, Caravelle, and California camper version. The new models feature upgrades in exterior design, intelligent cabin technology, and powertrain systems. Exterior styling continues Volkswagen’s family design language, featuring a horizontal-slat front grille connected by a full-width LED light strip that links the headlights on both sides. The Volkswagen logo is illuminated, giving the front fascia an appearance reminiscent of the ID. series of electric vehicles. The grille and bumper have been redesigned to enhance visual depth. All variants come standard with LED headlights, with optional Premium LED matrix headlights available. The taillights have also been refined. The vehicle is offered in two wheelbase options: standard (3,124 mm) and long (3,400 mm). The standard-wheelbase model measures 4,973 × 1,941 × 1,903 mm, while the long-wheelbase version measures 5,173 × 1,941 × 1,903 mm. The California camper variant is exclusively available in the long-wheelbase configuration. Inside, the dashboard has been completely redesigned with higher-quality soft-touch materials and eco-friendly fabrics; Nappa leather seats are available as an option. A 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster and a 12.9-inch floating central touchscreen replace the previous 10-inch display. The second-row seats can rotate 180 degrees to face the third row, enabling a lounge-style seating arrangement for up to seven occupants. The California camper version comes equipped with a factory-integrated roof tent, foldable camping table, built-in refrigerator, and an outdoor shower system. It also features an “Intelligent Camping Mode” that allows remote control of cabin temperature and lighting. Powertrain options include a 2.0 TDI diesel engine (110 kW / 150 hp, 360 N·m), a high-output 2.0 T gasoline engine (150 kW / 204 hp, 320 N·m), and a plug-in hybrid system combining a 1.5 T engine with an electric motor. The PHEV delivers a combined output of 180 kW (245 hp) and is paired with a 19.7 kWh battery pack, offering up to 80 km of all-electric range under WLTP conditions. It supports fast charging and achieves a combined fuel consumption as low as 1.2 L/100 km.
