A cabin-less Level 4 autonomous heavy-duty truck has been launched, developed by Kargo Dynamics—a company incubated by DiDi—specifically for deploying autonomous platooning in bulk logistics scenarios. Equipped with an AI-powered autonomous freight large model, the vehicle enables autonomous long-haul freight transportation and is scheduled to begin operations this year within enclosed industrial parks and factory premises. The truck supports battery swapping, enabling 24/7 uninterrupted transport. By eliminating the driver’s cabin, cargo capacity increases by 25% to 35%, while a dual-redundant technical architecture ensures operational safety.
