Hyper S600 Launches Starting at ¥179,900 with Limited-Time Offers; High-Performance Chassis and Advanced ADAS Standard Across All Trims

On June 12, GAC Hyper held its inaugural User Day and the Hyper S600 launch event at Aranya·Hyper Town in Guangzhou. The new model is offered in four variants: Pure Electric 660 Max, Pure Electric 660 Max+, Range-Extended 230 Max, and Range-Extended 215 AWD Ultra+. Official guidance prices range from RMB 199,900 to RMB 219,900, with limited-time privilege pricing from RMB 179,900 to RMB 199,900. All Hyper S600 trims come standard with a front double-wishbone and rear five-link suspension setup, the only dual-chamber air suspension with AWD under RMB 200,000, SDC dampers, and an intelligent Magic Carpet system. The dual-motor AWD version accelerates from 0–100 km/h in 4.3 seconds, which the company claims makes it the fastest range-extended SUV under RMB 1 million. The Xingyuan range-extender system delivers a continuous power output of 85 kW, achieving a 0–100 km/h time of 5.6 seconds even in low-battery conditions, and has successfully completed a demanding endurance test in Chongqing—sustaining 165 km/h for two consecutive hours under depleted battery conditions. The Hyper S600 comes standard with over 140 features across four categories: sportiness, premium comfort, technology, and safety. For comfort, it features nine-layer MPV-grade aviation seats upholstered in Australian pasture-sourced Nappa leather, aviation-inspired sleep headrests, and rear seats that recline up to 143 degrees. Acoustic insulation includes five pieces of laminated acoustic glass and 18.2 square meters of original sound-deadening material throughout the cabin. Tech highlights include 27 perception units, LiDAR, and the ADiGO GSD 3.0 intelligent driving system powered by Momenta’s R6 fusion reinforcement learning large model. Additional tech features comprise Qualcomm’s SA8295P chip, a 17.3-inch central touchscreen, a 27-inch HUD, and a 22-speaker Belgian Premium audio system. In terms of safety, the front crumple zone incorporates multiple reinforced structures, including a semi-circular high-strength steel “elephant trunk” structure, embedded full-welded joints, W-shaped hot-stamped dual anti-collision beams, and a B-pillar reinforced with four layers of steel. Standard safety equipment includes ZF’s 2.1-meter one-piece side curtain airbags spanning from A- to D-pillars, pre-tensioning seatbelts on all four seats, and a three-point seatbelt for the rear center position.
